Welcome

The objectives of the School curriculum are that it be:

BROAD – so that it provides each pupil with a wide range of concepts, experience, knowledge and skills and fosters moral, cultural, emotional, aesthetic and physical development whilst encouraging independent learning.

BALANCED – so that each area of the curriculum is allowed sufficient time for its contribution to be effective.

RELEVANT – so that activities contribute to a sound general education that prepares pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

DIFFERENTIATED – so that what is taught, and how it is taught, is matched to the individual learning needs of pupils, fully developing their abilities and aptitudes.

The overall structure is in line with the National Curriculum in the Infant, Junior, Middle and Senior Schools. We recognise that Information Technology (IT) is becoming ever more central to the educational process and the School has invested in impressive IT facilities ensuring pupils do not have to share computers and are not restricted in computer access.

Every year group from Reception upwards has IT lessons and it is a core GCSE subject at the School.
